After a tricky qualifying session, Josh left the boys starting in P5; they were slightly on the back foot, but still very much in the fight. Josh made a strong start, gaining a place off the line to put car 43 into fourth. After the pit stop, Sam took over to bring it home in second, securing a valuable haul of championship points.
In race 2, Sam endured a frustrating qualifying session after catching the car ahead during his flying lap, leaving car 43 once again starting from P5. At the start, Sam held his own against the seasoned pros to keep the position, before handing over to Josh, who drove a consistent stint to bring it home solidly in fifth.
The final round of the McLaren Trophy Europe Championship is set to take place at Paul Ricard, France, on October 5th. The championship title is still very much in contention.
