Although Road Atlanta was Sam’s favourite track of the year, a misfire, a lost cylinder and a comms failure took away both race wins. Points-wise, this left Sam and James on the back foot going into Road America and with only 2 rounds left. Because of this, there was no room for error.
Arriving at Road America, Sam put the car on pole and executed a lights-to-flag victory in race 1. Everything was going like clockwork until a steering component failed in race 2, removing them from the race prematurely.
