Sam Neser and Jack James Brand Hatch GP
With the first 3 Rowe Britcar Trophy race weekends done and dusted - here's how it's going so far.

The season opener at Donington saw some mechanical misfortune in race 1 which dropped Sam and his co-driver Jack James from 3rd to 6th.  Race 2 saw lots of overtaking opportunities before the driver change and the boys were in a good position coming out of the pits.  A safety car mid way through the second session bunched the cars up, plus a driver penalty that had to be served by the car in front, meant they came home in 2nd!  A decent end to the day.

Round two of Britcar Trophy headed to Snetterton, Norfolk, Sam’s home track.

Lots of family and friends came to support the boys,  but no one could predict the huge lows that were coming this weekend after a decent qualifying session.  A fuel pump issue saw their car 96 remain in the garage for race 1 despite heroic efforts by Amigo Motorsport to get it out on track in time.  Unfortunately the car was also unable to be repaired in time for race 2.  Snetterton weekend saw two DNS for the boys – a devastating blow for their championship, but more importantly, zero racing.

The third round was at Brands Hatch GP and it was The Fanatec GT World Challenge Weekend.

Car 96 was back up and running, but unfortunately with a power deficit which meant they missed out in qualifying.  After some set up adjustments by Dragon Sport Racing and Amigo Motorsport, the boys were still in the racing mix although missing out considerable down the straights.   A double P4 was considerably better than the Snetterton result but not what Sam and Jack know they are capable of.

Onwards and upwards – next stop Silverstone!
