Donington Done & Dusted

Donington Park
Fun racing but an unlucky outcome at Donington.

Round 6 of the Rowe Britcar Trophy Championship was at a very hot Donington Park.

After only missing out on pole position by a tenth, a stint full of some close racing brought them home in second in the first race of the weekend.

After a difficult stint for co-driver Jack at the start of race 2, they had their work cut out to get back up to podium position. A safety car brought all the cars in for driver change at the same time, so the restart had all the Clios at the front, with all the faster Britcar classes behind. This led to a very exciting race restart, and lots of close racing for Sam as they all made their way past. Unfortunately due to a stopwatch malfunction during the driver change, car 96 had to serve a 3 second drive through penalty which ruined their chance of a good result.

Final race weekend is back at Sam’s home track, Snetterton in September.
