Sam did a test race weekend with us on 27-28 July at the Silverstone GP round of the 2024 GT Cup Championship. Sam was immediately on the pace and displayed a level of intelligence with his driving style beyond his years and experience in the GT4 car.   His ability to continue the learning trajectory throughout the race weekend and to continue to extract more performance in varying scenarios was impressive. Especially given the format of GT racing with teammates, tyre age, fuel loads and variable driver stint times.   It’s very appealing when looking at potential drivers and championship campaigns in the future, when a new driver can display raw talent in the form of ultimate lap time as well as a maturity both in and out of the cockpit. Sam has both in abundance and when combined with his work ethic and team player attitude the foundation of success is obvious to see. It is clear that Sam is ready for a campaign in the higher profile and more competitive British GT Championship.

Sam has huge potential, his mechanical knowledge and understanding of track driving techniques is beyond his years. He just needs the financial backing to gain more experience on track and keep developing his talent.

Sam Neser won the 2023 Fiesta Junior Mk6 Championship as part of our team. Alongside his driving, Sam was also an active member within the team working where time allows on his own race car and at trackside events with us. I have found him to be hard working, polite and sociable with team members and customers alike.

I coached Sam on his first day on track and I couldn’t believe the understanding and determination Sam showed within just one day, not only in the car but also when analysing data and when taking feedback. Going by what we saw of him in his first two races, 2023 will be a very pivotal year for his motorsport career and this is only the start. Considering the amount of time on track Sam has had compared to the rest of the junior field, I think Sam has firmly held his own and has shown he has more to come in the coming seasons. He’s a focused young lad and has a great family around him which will make a driver to look out for in the 2023 Fiesta Junior Championship.

I have known Sam now for around 2 years after meeting him on a scholarship I was instructing on. 
 He impressed me with his natural raw ability at the time and stood out amongst the other juniors.
 Since then, I have been instructing him at various tracks in his Fiesta Junior. He has raw pace and listens to instruction well. Due to his passion for cars in general and as the owner of BC Cars Motorsport, I have also had Sam work alongside us in the workshop and at various tracks supporting race cars, having him help with prep or dynamic set up changes, or anything else required. This has helped him develop driver feedback on car set up as he is starting to understand the fundamentals of set up and what a car can/can’t do and what as a driver you can change within yourself to get the car to do what you need it to do. On another positive, Sam’s work ethic is outstanding and he is a pleasure to have around and contributes well to the team and works hard whilst he is with us, and we are looking forward to continue being a part of his development.
